Forget the roses and clichés this Valentine’s Day as Neon Pigeon — part of The Dandy Collection — flips the script with an Anti-Valentine's Spread so bold, it’s borderline dangerous..

The modern izakaya offers brash, unique takes on Japanese favourites. For just $98 per person, head chef Sean Mell serves up five knockout courses guaranteed to spice things up — whether you’re with your ride-or-die, your “situationship”, or simply savouring some me-time.

DRINK

Neon Pigeon rewrites the rules, creating an experience where romance is optional but an epic night is guaranteed. If you’re feeling particularly naughty, start your evening with the Pornstar Martiki ($26), Neon Pigeon’s take on the classic cocktail. Made with Veritas rum, Nikka Coffey Grain, clarified passionfruit, Galliano Vanilla, falernum, and Telmont Reserve Brut, this vibrant, tropical cocktail is a must-try. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, Neon Pigeon offers an extensive selection of cocktails that complete the dining experience. Beverage Director Mario la Pietra has created a fully inclusive menu that welcomes everyone — drinkers and teetotalers alike — in the spirit of communing over a drink, or many.

EAT

Start teasing your appetite with your choice from five sashimi and maki options available. The light, clean-tasting Futomaki features tuna, hamachi, and salmon in a rice and seaweed roll, accompanied by yuzu soy sauce. Craving meatier flavours? You’ll want to start with the crowd-pleasing Duck Gyoza, chonky dumplings served with flavourful orange ginger ponzu dipping sauce that hits just right. Out of the four vegetable options available, try the Broccolini. Grilled to perfection, it is served with wasabi pesto and egg, and garnished with crispy garlic and chives.

On to the mains. The Chilean Seabass is pure seduction on a plate. Bathed in a luscious black garlic miso marinade for 48 hours, the fish is oven roasted to perfection. This showstopper is then dressed to impress with tangy pickled shallots, crispy garlic, and a pop of fresh coriander, all tied together with a provocative squeeze of lime. Every bite? A sultry, melt-in-your-mouth home run. Or sink your teeth into the Grilled Tsukune, a large minced chicken meatball charred to smoky perfection on the grill and served with egg yolk tare, a sweet-savoury sauce.

For dessert, you can’t go wrong with Neon Pigeon’s Smores which levels up childhood nostalgia into an adult fantasy — white chocolate ganache, graham crackers, and chocolate marshmallows that delivers a mouthful of delectable goodness. For those who prefer something simple, the Mochi Ice Cream has a subtle flavour and smooth texture, with a thin layer of mochi encasing a variety of ice cream flavours.

Embrace the unexpected at Neon Pigeon — a night of bold flavours, killer vibes, with zero roses required.
